Here are some street portraits I've shot over the past year. If I see someone interesting, I approach them with a compliment and tell them something I like. I really like that hat or great tattoo. I'll start talking to them about it. Tell them why I'm shooting. I'm in a photo club I have to photograph 50 strangers before Thursday. Something like that. The background matters because you want to get a sense of the street in the shot. When I shoot, I try to get a different angle that seems to be the trick. Because they have already started to pose. That I don't want.
